Hi,
Yesterday I was so caught up in my own joy in meeting Ted on Tuesday
evening that I forgot to share this story with you all.
It came to mind when I uploaded the photos I had taken on that night. There
was a man who was waiting in line to meet Ted.
He was from Costa Rica and had an early flight to catch the next morning to
go back home. He wanted to meet Ted. As we talked he explained how he had planned this trip to visit family with his dad and
to go to this performance of JCS with his dad because of the movie "Jesus Christ Superstar" he and his dad had seen several
times back home in Costa Rica. He and his father had enjoyed the movie and commentary so much, they wanted to meet Ted. They
had heard many great things about Ted from various interviews and they just knew Ted was the real deal, very genuine, a very
caring man. He then told me that his dad had died quite suddenly and unexpectedly 2 months ago! But, he still had to
make this trip to see this performance because his dad would have wanted him to. For about an hour we spoke and of course
I filled him in with my thoughts on Ted, even though I had never met Ted as of yet. I told him I thought Ted was real and
that I believed Ted truly loves people and cares for everyone he meets. After meeting Ted and chatting with him
only confirmed what I already knew in my heart!
One of the photos I uploaded is of a moment that my husband Ray caught
on camera with Ted and this man. I know he spoke to Ted about the loss of his dad, the photo catches the caring and sweetness very
clearly!
Well, after his chat with Ted as he walked past me with other members of his
family, he said with a tear in his eye and a smile on his face and a thumbs up that Ted was everything I had said he was and
that everything he had heard about Ted over time was all so true. He said he just knew it!!
I don't know if Ted truly realizes how he touches peoples hearts, his kindness,
his gentleness, his graciousness, I could go on an on but I know you all know this about him already, even those who have
not met him yet have this knowledge in their minds and hearts already!
I don't know if Ted reads these posts from time to time, I sure hope so! This
way he might begin to understand what he means to all of us.
I think he has some idea of the impact he has on people's lives for the good,
many folks must tell him, I know I did when I met him!
I know he has been blessed with talent and a beautiful voice because
of the sweet, gentle caring guy that he is.
I just truly hope he knows how important he is and how loved he is!
Rachel
